The Story of Tree House Salon
Treehouse Salon is the result of a journey that started small, with big dreams and a whole lot of heart. It wasn’t born from a business plan or a grand idea—it was born out of passion, a love for what Cass (our founder) does, and a desire to create something unique.
Cass began her hairdressing career back in 2006, working through school-based apprenticeships and discovering her love for the beauty industry. She quickly realised there was one service that truly ignited her creativity: hair extensions.
At the time, hardly any salons offered it, and that sparked a fire in Cass. She knew this was something special, something she could make her mark with.
So, in 2008, she decided to start her side hustle—Cassandra’s Hair Extensions—simply as a fun, creative outlet. It wasn’t supposed to be anything big, just something she loved to do in her spare time. Little did she know, it would soon grow into a thriving business.
Same People, Different Location
As the years passed, the demand for Cass’s skills grew, and she saw an opportunity to expand. She opened the first iteration of Treehouse Salon—a literal green treehouse, tucked away and filled with personality. It wasn’t just a salon; it was a space where Cass could bring together other beauty experts who shared her passion.
She invited hairdressers, lash artists, nail technicians and other talented professionals to join her, and together, they turned the Treehouse into something truly special. It wasn’t just about hair extensions anymore; it was about creating a place for all beauty needs to be met in one cosy, welcoming space.
For over 10 years, the Treehouse was home. It was more than just a business — it was a family. It was a place where clients became friends, where you could always count on being greeted with a smile and leaving feeling more relaxed and rejuvenated.
New Salon, Same Spirit
Then, in 2022, the next step of the journey unfolded. The team moved into a new, beautiful and peaceful space, designed with even more comfort and luxury in mind.
The new location offered 10 chairs, 3 basins in a dedicated room and a full team of talented professionals who share Cass’s dedication to quality service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through the door. The spirit of the original Treehouse lives on, though—it’s still all about providing the best service in a place that feels like home.
Looking back, Cass never expected this journey to take the path it did. It wasn’t part of some big, planned-out strategy, but it’s turned into something she’s incredibly proud of.
None of this would have been possible without the support of clients who have been with us through the years—you’ve helped shape what Treehouse Salon is today, and we’re forever grateful.

Sustainability
At Tree House Salon, we’re passionate about sustainability and giving back. We've partnered with the Sustainable Salons network, meaning we recycle the majority of our salon waste, including hair, foils, plastics and more, helping to reduce environmental impact and create a greener beauty industry.
We’re also proud supporters of the Ponytail Project, donating hundreds of ponytails each year to create wigs for those experiencing hair loss—678 ponytails last year alone!
